POUND – New Drumming Class Provides Full-Body Workout

MAC-PoundThe Magnuson Athletic Club is always searching for new, challenging and unique training choices for our members.  We are excited to offer the high-energy and dynamic class, POUND, as an option in our new MAC Fit training program.
POUND classes will begin on March 8th and will be on Tuesdays at 7:00am.

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. Using specialized drumsticks designed specifically for POUND, the workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and isometric poses into a 45-minute class. Strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music! Learn more about POUND.

Amy Larsen, MAC Trainer

MAC Trainer, Amy Larsen, will be teaching POUND.  Amy is an ISSA certified Personal Trainer who has been working with MAC members for three and a half years.  Whether she is training individuals or working with a group, Amy likes to create the ideal environment for people to have fun and sweat.  She uses a variety of classes and disciplines to keep training sessions fresh and exciting.  Her certifications in TRX, FMS and Pure Barre help to ensure her trainees have a lot of options.  Amy is really looking forward to getting MAC members hooked on POUND.

POUND will provide drumsticks for all participants and there is a maximum of 15 members per class.

If you are ready to experience the sweat-inducing fun of moving to the beat of your own drumming, contact us at training@macseattle.com.  Or visit us at the front desk with any of your questions.
