Experience the Total Body Workout of TRX Training at the MAC
TRX is a type of training that uses your own body weight and gravity, to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability. While most traditional fitness products use plate weights, elastic or pulleys for resistance, TRX® Suspension Training® workouts use your bodyweight and simple physics to create an unlimited range of resistance and complete range of functional motion to achieve results.
Professionals in basketball, baseball, football, MMA, soccer and even Olympians have all used TRX Training. And while it is ideal for elite level athletes, it is also great for individuals who are looking for a challenge, individually tailored for their particular fitness level. TRX Training makes this possible as a simple shift in body positioning increases or decreases the resistance allowing the participant to work at a level that is comfortable to them.
The TRX Training at the MAC tries to go a step further by presenting the class as a progressive series. Other gyms may lump all their TRX participants into the same class. And while the suspension system makes that possible, the MAC likes to provide a more supportive environment for optimal fitness growth. “Having a progressive class schedule provides for a more individualized class experience” according to Sara Finnseth, one of the MAC’s TRX trainers.
