June Yoga Challenge Recap

yoga womenAt the Magnuson Athletic Club, we had 20 members participate in the June Yoga Challenge. Each participant received daily emails from one of the Mind/Body Group Fitness instructors which included words of encouragement, some yoga history, and terminology,on occasion a tasty healthy recipe.

During the month of June, the MAC added some additional classes – Brooke taught a 6 week series Yoga 101 to help beginners become acquainted with the practice and feeling comfortable taking classes; Matt Nadler taught a 2 hour workshop in Yoga Tune Up where he focused on a specific method of isolating body parts and problem areas to alleviate pain and increase awareness of the body. Twenty-four people participated in this workshop including members and nonmembers.
