Member Spotlight: Brooke Lawson
Brooke Lawson is a wife to Rhys and a mother to Jack, 5 and Anna, 2 ½. She is actively taking care of her family, working part time as a Human Resource Specialist with the US Coast Guard, and helps out at the pre-school her kids attend. In her spare time, you can find Brooke gardening, running, being crafty, cooking, and spending time with her family – all of which is reflected in her healthy lifestyle. “Being healthy and active makes me happy. I want my children to have that same attitude towards life and health,” with a smile said Brooke.
Brooke has been a MAC member from the beginning, where she would come in periodically. It wasn’t until MAC Trainer and Nutritionist, Breanne Curran’s weight loss series program where Brooke took an interest and made the commitment to her personal health. “I needed a kick in the pants, a new routine, and some accountability to get me going. Breanne’s Hot Moms weight loss series did that for me!” expressed Brooke. The MAC Weight Loss Series are intended to help guide you to reach your ultimate health goals through small group training and nutritional classes . “I especially love the nutrition counseling part of Breanne’s program. It got me to try things and techniques I never would have done on my own.”
As of today, Brooke has lost 19 lbs, over 17 inches and 5% body fat in 3 months! Brooke has exceeded her original goals, and now has new ones to aim for. “The key to my success was my commitment to myself and my goals. With the support of my husband, I made finding time to exercise a priority for the first time since having kids. I also changed not only what I eat, but how and when I eat. It has really been a lifestyle change for me!”
As she is finishing up the Hot Moms: Weight Loss Series, Brooke is already registered for MAC’s upcoming 12 week weight loss series program Body Breakthrough that starts in January. “I can’t wait for Body Breakthrough to start! I would most definitely recommend these programs to other members here if they are looking for a new and supportive way to get healthy.”
