Sugar, We’re Through! Halloween marks the beginning of “sugar season” – the long stretch of holidays where treats seem to be everywhere. Combined with the colder, shorter days that kick up cravings for more serotonin-boosting carbohydrates, this increase in sugar consumption can wreak havoc on your health and weight loss goals. Break your habits this year!
Kick refined sugar to the curb! Easiest way to do this is limit processed foods in your diet and read labels on what you do buy. If sugar is in the first 5 ingredients… and you want a flat belly, don’t buy it! Sugar in the form of High Fructose corn syrup, cane sugar, brown sugar, evaporated cane juice and fruit juice concentrate are the worst offenders.
