Brian Sutton joins the MAC training team!

Brian Sutton

December 5, 2011 – Seattle – Magnuson Athletic Club (MAC) is pleased to announce Brian Sutton – one of Seattle’s sought after group fitness instructors and designer of Lifestyle Integrated Fitness Training (LIFT) fitness program has joined the MAC sport training team. Sutton will serve as a personal trainer.

“Brian brings a high level of knowledge and passion for fitness to the MAC. He brings a skill set to help people of all fitness levels reach their full potential. The community has gained a great resource with Brian joining the MAC team,” said Preston Crouser, Head MAC Trainer.

Sutton brings twelve years of experience and an extensive resume of specialty training to the MAC, including a Masters in Exercise Science, strength and conditioning coaches certification and personal trainer certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a co-founder of LIFT in New York, and has been a Keynote speaker for the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Utilizing an array of his own original programs along with other proven techniques, Sutton has nurtured active adults and recreational athletes, as well as high school, collegiate and pro athletes.

Starting at the MAC on December 12, 2011, Sutton will be leading the new Performance Enhancement Training program (PET). This program is a small group strength and conditioning program designed to bring the body to its peak level focusing on injury prevention and flexibility, improved coordination, movement and conditioning, muscular endurance and functional strength, and core strength development. PET is great for anyone who is serious about gaining the physical edge and for those active adults who want a challenging training program. Sutton finds that clients have the best success when training with other people, so grab a few friends and experience the progression towards a healthier lifestyle.

Sutton finds that big gyms can be seen as impersonal and uninterested in the community and its employees. He adds, “I’ve always gravitated towards smaller, more intimate gyms with a community focus, and where you felt part of a team. I like to think of the MAC as the “Community’s Gym”. The MAC houses a variety of clientele from different backgrounds which gives the staff the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people. I am excited to be part of the MAC team!”

With great promise, Sutton will be the next community leader in providing fitness at the MAC. For more information, or to schedule training, contact Brian Sutton at (206) 452-1500 or bsutton@macseattle.com.
