SUPER FOODS = SUPER POWERS!

What makes Super Hero’s Super? I will teach kids how they can be healthier, stronger and smarter by the foods they put into their bodies and the activities they choose. Establish healthy building blocks for their lives. Make your kids healthy the fun way!

Warning! Side Effects may include:

Interest in nutritious foods, increased happiness, less picky eating, increased activity level, less colds and flus, decreased crabbiness, urges to cook and prepare foods at home. Better nourishment into their teen and adult years.

WEEK 1.  July 14th SUPER POWERS

– How foods give us superpowers. Powers to think well, move well, stay well, have good moods and strength.

– Review of what certain foods do for us or against us (takes powers away)

– Create some good foods for good powers. Have kids help make healthy snacks, and identify what powers it will give them.

WEEK 2:  July 21st EAT A RAINBOW

– How more colors on our plate means more powers!

– Natural colors of foods and what powers they give us.

– List of nutrients and vitamins in foods for parents.

– Interactive project and quiz in class.

– Identify Foods found in nature. Learn why our bodies work best when we eat foods created for us.

– EAT TO MOVE!

– When do we move more and less throughout the day? How much and what to eat throughout the day based on activities, to give you powers needed.

WEEK 3  July 28th   POWER VAMPIRES

– What takes powers away?  Harms of bad foods . Where they are found and why they don’t help you grow well, think well, move well or feel well.

– Importance of breakfast and sleep. Charge and Re-charge!

– Share what you’ve been eating and why.  Review importance of keeping healthy habits.

Week 4 – Aug 4th  POWER DETECTIVES AND CREATORS

– Potluck
– How to be a food detective. How to shop with parents and find good foods, what to look for on boxes. Also how to help parents prepare meals. What are healthy snacks that give you the most powers for your day. What helps us feel our best?

– Review of when and why to eat certain foods.

Kids : Thursdays 4:30 PM 

Four 1 hour presentations + 1 free personal health consult with parent . =  $100

2 children or more? $75 for each additional child.
